From the Founder
I come from three generations of funeral service, representing 78 years of family engagement in the industry. I've seen what works and what doesn't. I know what families need, and I know where the system fails them.
After cremation, families often face a gap no one is addressing. Funeral homes focus on the service itself, then the relationship ends. Families are left holding urns, uncertain about next steps, overwhelmed by options, and paralyzed by indecision.
Some keep remains at home for years. Some choose placements they later regret. Some never find closure at all. This isn't a failure of families. It's a failure of our industry to serve them beyond the initial service.
That's why we built Bespoke Undertakings. We're not a funeral home. We don't handle bodies or perform cremation. We focus exclusively on what comes after: guiding families through permanent placement with expert knowledge, thoughtful design, and compassionate support.
We help families finish the story with dignity, intention, and peace of mind. Whether that means a cemetery niche, permitted scattering, home memorialization, or something uniquely meaningful to them, we're here to make it happen.
This is personal for me. This is professional. And it's long overdue.
A Family Business
Bespoke Undertakings is a Bell family venture: Joe, James, AJ, and Luna, the pit-mix we rescued in Savannah who now runs the office. We're self-funding this because we believe in what we're doing.
Joe spent 25+ years in business, non-profit, and funeral service before launching this. James brings decades in management and higher education administration. AJ is studying Computer Engineering at UNT and keeps us from breaking anything technical.
We're building this together, and we're excited to grow the team as we go.

We work for you, not cemeteries, not vendors, not anyone else. Your family's needs come first, always.
We help people who have ashes and aren't sure what to do with them. The cremation is already done. Now you need to figure out the next step. That's what we do.
No. We don't have a chapel, a fleet of cars, or a room full of caskets. We don't handle bodies or do cremations. By the time you come to us, all of that is behind you.
No. The cremation has already happened. We work with families after, once you have the ashes and need help deciding what comes next.
You can. Everything we help with is technically something you could figure out on your own. But most people don't know where to start, what questions to ask, or what options even exist. We've done this thousands of times. We know the cemeteries, the regulations, the vendors, and the pitfalls. We can save you time, frustration, and costly mistakes.
Because most families don't get any guidance after the cremation. The funeral home hands you a box and moves on. You're left Googling things at 11pm, not sure what's legit and what's a sales pitch. We exist to be the knowledgeable friend who can walk you through it.
No. We don't earn commissions or receive referral fees. Any service discounts are passed on to you. Our pricing is transparent and posted on this website. We make money by charging a fair fee for our time and expertise, not by upselling you on things you don't need.
Joe is a licensed funeral director with verifiable credentials. He's not anonymous internet advice. He's a real person staking his professional reputation on doing this well. No upsells, no commissions, no kickbacks. Just honest guidance.
